Morgan City man arrested for computer aided solicitation of a minor
Charles Fish, 44, of Morgan City
A 44-year-old Morgan City man was arrested by Louisiana State Police Friday for computer aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile following a month-long investigation, according to a state police news release.
In early December, state police detectives received information which indicated that Charles Fish, 44, of Morgan City, had inappropriate physical contact with a juvenile under the age of 16, the news release stated.
Detectives learned that Fish used an electronic device to solicit the juvenile for sexual purposes, the news release stated.
Based on their investigation a warrant for Fish’s arrest was obtained, State Police Troop I spokesman Tfc. Stephen Hammons said.
Detectives, assisted by Morgan City and Berwick police, arrested Fish at his home in Morgan City without incident. He was booked into the Berwick Jail. The case remains under investigation, Hammons said.
This case was a part of “Operation Child Watch.” The mission of “Operation Child Watch” is to rescue children from the potential abuse of child predators. For information about presentations concerning child predators, call State Police at 337-262-5880.
