M C Bank and St. Mary Outreach are teaming up for the 27th annual Food Net Food for Families food drive Wednesday.
Donations can be dropped off from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the bank’s Victor II Boulevard location in Morgan City.
M C Bank spokeswoman Frances Dupre said anyone who brings two canned goods may take a picture with Santa from 3 to 7 p.m.
Additionally, Morgan City High School choir will perform from 10 to 11 a.m., and the school’s band will perform from 4 to 5 p.m.
Non-perishable items requested include dry food, canned goods, condiments, personal hygiene products, household items, toilet paper, bath soap, deodorant, shaving cream, toothpaste, shampoo, garbage bags, foil, cleaners, bleach and baby items like diapers, wipes, formula, baby food and cereal. Please check expiration dates.
“As we enter a new year, let us all be mindful of the many blessings that have been bestowed on us, and let us respond to those to whom life has dealt a less kindly and prosperous existence,” Dupre said.
