FFH sets open house, health fair at new med office
An open house and health fair has been slated for the new medical office building adjacent to Franklin Foundation Hospital on Northwest Boulevard.
FFH interim Chief Executive Officer Phil Lowe told Hospital Service District 1 commissioners Thursday that the open house will be held Saturday, June 7.
The $2.5 million building has been under construction for just over a year by the Core Construction Group of Lafayette.
It will house the practices of Drs. Donna Tesi, general surgery; Steven McPherson, internal medicine; Rebecca Accardo, OB/GYN; as well as the hospital’s wound care clinic. There also is space three or four more physicians.
In other business Thursday during their monthly meeting commissioners:
—Heard from Dr. Roland Degeyter, chairman of the hospital’s quality board, that the hospital has received the Capstone Quality Award from eQHealth Solutions, Medicare’s quality improvement organization. The award is presented to hospitals scoring in the 90th percentile of core measure perfromance in the areas of acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care.
—Heard from Chief Financial Officer Ron Bailey that the month of March ended with a $67,534 loss as compared to a $35,104 projected profit. Half way through the fiscal year, the year-to-date bottom line shows a $44,510 profit.
