City sets free seminars for ‘Financial Fitness’
The City of Franklin will offer a series of seven free seminars entitled “Financial Fitness 2014” at the Alex P. Allain Memorial Branch of the St. Mary Parish Library from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights.
Registration will begin on Dec. 9 in the Office of Community Development and end when the seminars are full. The maximum for each seminar is 15 people. For more information, contact the Office of Community Development at 337-828-6345 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Jan. 29: “Homeownership” presented by Jeffery Beverly of St. Mary/Vermilion Community Action Agency
Feb. 5: “Insurance” presented by Chip Purpera of State Farm Insurance
Feb. 19: “Paying for College” presented by Kelly Knight of South Louisiana Community College
Feb. 26: “Retirement” presented by Lyle and Victoria Simoneaux of Edward Jones
March 12: “Estate Planning” presented by Scott Ramsey of Ramsey, Skiles and Streva
