The City of Franklin will host a free seminar entitled “The Building Blocks for Academic Success: Time Management, Study Skills and Test Taking” May 1 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Broussard-Harris Recreation Center.
Registration will take place in the Office of Community Development and by email. Registration will begin April 1 and it will end April 30.
To register via email, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the students’ name, grade, age, mailing address, email address, home phone number, cellphone number and “Academic Success” in the subject heading.
Enrollment will be on a first-come first-serve basis according to the time and date on the email. Registrants will receive an email confirming enrollment.
This seminar is recommended for students who are at least 13 years old. “Students who are going off to college are encouraged to register,” Mayor Raymond Harris said. “It will provide them with information to ease the transition. Those that are younger or are not going to college at this time will receive information to assist them in preparing for their final exams and knowledge that they can use the next school year.”
