Baldwin’s first cleanup day slated for April 5
Baldwin’s Beautification Committee has taken a big step in reorganizing by setting a date for a town-wide clean up.
Members met Tuesday night to discuss efforts in getting the city motivated in sprucing up the town.
The date has been set for April 5. Committee members are urging their neighbors to meet at 8:30 a.m. on that date in front of the Baldwin Fire Department (the old Baldwin Elementary school).
The group discussed which streets needed special attention. The cleanup effort will be broken up by group. Team leaders will pass out flyers to citizens of Baldwin asking for their help in getting the town cleaned up.
“I want to motivate as many people as possible to come out not just committee members,” said Margaret Faye Coleman, chairperson.
The group also discussed getting students involved in the cleanup day. Members are urging everyone to mark their calendars.
