Two people were wounded after being shot Sunday night in the Railroad Avenue and Eleventh Street area and are in stable condition at different hospitals, Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks said in a news release.
At 10:29 p.m. Sunday, Morgan City police were dispatched to the area of Railroad Avenue and Eleventh Street regarding a shooting.
Officers arrived to find two victims. One victim, Lawrence Blackburn, 36, of Morgan City, received a single gunshot wound to the lower chest area, Banks said. The second victim, Dwayne Clark, 36, of Morgan City, received a gunshot wound to the hand area, Banks said.
