Miss Harvest Moon pageant entries sought
The Sept. 17 deadline is nearing to enter the Miss Harvest Moon Festival Queen’s Pageant.
Winners will reign for the Franklin Merchants Association’s 15th annual Harvest Moon Festival Oct. 25 in Franklin. The royalty pageant will be held Oct. 18.
There is three divisions of competition. They include Miss Harvest Moon, Teen Miss Harvest Moon and Little Miss Shining Star.
Applicants must reside in St. Mary Parish and Miss applicants must attend or have graduated from a St. Mary Parish high school.
Applicants must be single, never married, no children, a person of good moral character (never convicted of any crime). They must be of good health in order to do their best to participate fully and without limitation in any pageant activities.
Winners must agree to forfeit the title if they become pregnant or are considered of poor moral character by the festival committee.
Miss applicants must be ages 17 to 22 and will compete in poise, intelligence and personality.
Teen Miss applicants must be ages 13 to 16 and will compete in poise, intelligence and personality.
Little Miss Shining Star applicants must be ages 9 to 12 and will compete in poise, intelligence and personality.
Applicants must compete in all phases of competition in the division entered. Entry fee is $50.
