Leona Gradley Walter, 60, a resident and native of Franklin, died Sunday, July 31, at 11:58 p.m., at University Medical Center in Lafayette.

Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 6 at St. Joseph Baptist Church in the St. Joseph community, from 10 a.m. until funeral at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church in Ashton.

Leona leaves to cherish her memory five sons, Anthony Walters, Albert Walters III, Micheal Walters, Christopher Walters and Travis Walters, all of Franklin; one daughter, Mrs. McKinley (Jeanette) Gabriel of Lafayette; four brothers, Freddie Williams, Calvin Gradley and Leo Gradley Jr., all of Franklin, and Raymond Gradley of Atlanta, Georgia; four sisters, Margarite Gash, Edora Mitchell, Carolyn Small and Hilda Adams, all of Franklin; six grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
