Le Krewe Des Jeunes Amis holds Mardi Gras Ball

LE KREWE DES JEUNES AMIS held their annual Mardi Gras Ball in Lafayette on Saturday, January 28. The theme was A Night of Enchantment, featuring popular nursery rhymes. Meredith Ellen Trahan served as an attendant to the Queen of Malta while Christopher Beck Trahan and Michael Rive Trahan were sailors from the nursery rhyme Row, Row, Row Your Boat. Meredith is in her 7th year in the Krewe and she welcomed her twin brothers, Beck and Rive, for their very first year. Meredith, Beck and Rive are the children of Christopher L. Trahan and Shannon Becnel Trahan of Lafayette and the grandchildren of Sharon Charpentier Becnel and the late Michael P. Becnel of Lafayette and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Pete Trahan of Crowley. They are the great grandchildren of the late Sterling P. Charpentier Jr. and the late Dorothy Bourque Charpentier of Franklin, as well as Lucille Lyons Becnel and the late John Sylvest Becnel of Franklin.
