Junior high football jamboree set for Sept. 7
The second annual junior high jamboree, hosted by Patterson Junior High, will be held Sept. 7 at Patterson High School’s Lumberjack Field.
The event will feature seven of the parish’s junior high squads.
Action will begin with a 9:30 a.m. contest between Hanson Memorial and Central Catholic, while at 10:30 a.m., Franklin will meet B.E. Boudreaux.
The day’s final game, at 11:30 a.m., will feature Patterson meeting Berwick.
Each game will consist of two 15-minute halves with a running clock. Each game will have a 10-minute halftime, while there will be a 20-minute break between games.
Patterson Junior High football coach Ryan Smith said Hanson and B.E. Boudreaux are new additions to this year’s event.
“I plan on trying to get it a little bigger as we go,” he said.
Admission will be $6 for adults and $4 for students.
Concessions will be sold.
