Johnny's Propellers beats Dragna Brothers

Johnny’s Propeller’s pitching combined for a two hitter and 12 strikeouts in a 3-1 victory against Dragna Brothers in Dixie League action at Complex Park Tuesday.

Makye Richard struck out seven in three innings of work to earn the win, while Ben Allen fanned five more in the same amount of time. Each allowed no runs, a hit and walked three.

At the plate, Tyler O’Con finished 1-for-3 with a run, Allen added an RBI, and Richard and Ronjour Granger each scored a run.

For Dragna, Cameron Aucoin was 1-for-2, Bryce Grizzaffi, 1-for-3, and Dominique Skipper scored a run.

MC Rentals 5,

Skipper’s 3

Cooper LeBlanc smacked a triple and drove in two in Morgan City Rentals’ 5-3 victory against Skipper’s in Dixie League action at Complex Park Tuesday.

LeBlanc finished 1-for-2 and also scored two runs.

Zack Miller also collected a triple and two RBIs during his 1-for-3 performance. Tucker Manuel added a 1-for-2 performance with a run, and Brooks Thomas and Jaybian Hartley each scored a run.

For Skipper’s, Austin Freyeoux finished 1-for-2 with an RBI, while Travis Whitehead finished 1-for-2 with two runs. Other Skipper’s hitters included Dylan Landry, 1-for-2 with a run; Kade Dupre and Jakeem Mosely, each 1-for-3; and Thomas Mire, an RBI.

Whitney Bank 6,

A.J. Dohmann 5

Jacob Blum and Karson Nelson each collected two hits as Whitney Bank edged A.J. Dohmann, 6-5, in 7- and 8-year-old action Monday at Spinella Park in Morgan City.

Both Blum and Nelson finished 2-for-3 on the night, while Blake Peterson, Kale Beard and Gary Nicar all finished 1-for-3.

Other Whitney hitters included Cullen Adams and Keegan Lodrigue, each 1-for-2; and Kris Prejean, 1-for-1.

For A.J. Dohmann, Caleb O’Con and Justin Adkins each finished 3-for-3, while Tate Aucoin, Tate Matherne and Jason Huang each finished 2-for-3.

Other A.J. Dohmann hitters included Gage Patureau, 1-for-3; and Layne Guidry, 1-for-2.

Rapid Trucking 13, Scully’s 3

Four players collected two hits apiece in Rapid Trucking’s 13-3 victory against Scully’s in 7- and 8-year-old action at Spinella Park Monday.

Randy Fontenot, Dayshon Pete, Dakota Gibson, and Hunter Bella all finished 2-for-3 in the victory.

Tylon Mobley and Ja’Quan Gray each finished 1-for-3 and Damondrick Blackburn added a hit for Rapid Trucking.

For Scully’s, Ben Lewis led the team with a 2-for-2 performance, while Kyen Hayles, Keith Daigle, Ethan Blanchard, Dionte Stephens, Aidden Radsick and Ashton Mouton all finished 1-for-2.

MC Rentals 6,

M C Bank 5

Morgan City Rentals rallied from a 5-1 deficit in its last at bat for a 6-5 victory against M C Bank Monday at Complex Park.

Luke Barbier had a huge game for Morgan City Rentals as he finished 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and a run.

He also earned the win on the mound as he allowed a run on a hit, walked two and struck out eight in three innings of work.

Other M C Rentals hitters included Ethan Boagni, 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs; Ryan Miller, 1-for-2, two runs; Michael-Anthony Hill, an RBI and a run; and Jordan Percle, Landon Acosta and J.C. Hebert, a run each.

Hill pitched three innings of no-hit ball but allowed four runs and walked five. He also struck out six.

For M C Bank, William LaRocca finished 1-for-1 with a double, two runs and an RBI, while Dylan Tingle scored two runs, and Peyton Grizzaffi scored a run.

Rapid Trucking 8,

Ocean Marine 6

Grant Stansbury connected on two doubles and drove in two, and he struck out seven in Rapid Trucking’s 8-6 victory against Ocean Marine in action Monday at Complex Park.

Stansbury finished 2-for-3 at the plate and also scored two runs.

On the mound, he pitched four innings and allowed four runs on one hit and walked two.

Tylan Bennett earned the win for Rapid Trucking. In an inning of work, he surrendered two runs, two walks and struck out the side.

At the plate, Bennet finished 1-for-2 with a run.

Other Rapid Trucking hitters included Reid Lodrigue, 1-for-2; Thomas Myers, an RBI and a run; Davidyione Bias, an RBI; Kurvonte Webb, two runs; and Wesley Aucoin and Jakhri Carbin, a run each.

For Ocean Marine, Gilbert Johnson pitched three innings of relief and allowed two runs on three hits. He walked one and struck out five.

At the plate, he finished 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run.

Other Ocean Marine players making the stat sheet included Luke Freia, 1-for-2; and Chance Randle, Jhai Robinson, Anthony Griffin, Austin Blair and Taylor Blanchard, each with a run.

Russo’s Accounting 7, Global X-Ray 6

Ty Kapp’s two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning propelled Russo’s Accounting to a 7-6 victory against Global X-Ray in 11- and 12-year-old St. Mary Central Dixie Youth Baseball action Monday.

The hit was Kapp’s lone of the day as he finished 1-for-3 with two RBIs;

Other teammates collecting hits included Kyle Boudreaux, 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs; Ryan Hover, 2-for-3, two runs; Mitchell Frederick, 1-for-3, a run; and Cameron McQuilling, 1-for-2, a run.

On the mound, Rustin Ratcliff pitched five innings and allowed six runs on seven hits. He walked four and struck out four.

In the loss, Abraham Gilder pitched 32/3 innings and allowed five runs on six hits and struck out seven.

In relief, Kyle Pitre pitched 11/3 innings and allowed two runs on three hits and fanned two.

At the plate, Ian Valdez finished 1-for-2 with a triple, an RBI and a run, while Gilder finished 1-for-1 with a double, an RBI and two runs. Tristian Mogonagill finished 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run, and Parker Mayea finished 1-for-2 with a run.
