Jindal names Baldwin woman to Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology
BATON ROUGE, La. — Carolyn Robichaux of Baldwin, owner of Carolyn’s Friends and Company Salon, has been reappointed to serve as a member of the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology from the 3rd Congressional District.
Gov. Bobby Jindal announced the appointment Friday along with four other appointees.
According to statute, the board is comprised of eight gubernatorial appointments, subject to Senate confirmation. At least one member shall be appointed from each congressional district.
Others appointed were:
—Frances Hand, of Denham Springs, owner of Denham Springs Beauty College Inc., to serve as a member and chairman from the 6th Congressional District;
—Michelle Hays of Pineville, owner of Meshelz Hair Salon and Pineville Beauty School, to serve as a member from the 5th Congressional District;
—Lora Moreau of Lafayette, president and owner of Cosmetology Training Center, to serve as a member from the 7th Congressional District; and
—Ira Weber of Metairie, owner of B&W Inc., a financial analysis company, and the owner of two Fantastic Sam’s franchise licenses, to serve as a member from the 1st Congressional District.
