Patterson's boys’ basketball team was among the teams across the state that qualified for the prep basketball postseason. The Lumberjacks learned their seeding and first-round opponent when brackets were released Monday. Patterson is Class 3A’s No. 7 seed and will host No. 26 seed. Central Catholic High School advanced to the Class 1A quarterfinals for the third straight year with a 43-25 victory against St. Mary on Monday at home. Guard Randi Brown led the Lady Eagles with a double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds in the win. The Lady Eagles, Class 1A’s No. 2 seed, now will turn their attention to No. 7 seed Tensas, who Central Catholic will host Thursday at 5:30 p.m. (The Daily Review/Corwin Murray)
