Berwick upset 5A's top team, Lafayette High

The Berwick High School baseball team scored a huge upset Tuesday as it defeated Class 5A’s top-ranked team, Lafayette High, 5-4, in nondistrict action in Lafayette.

Central Catholic tops Berwick, 9-7

MCHS to retire Alfred's jersey

Morgan City High School will retire the baseball jersey of former player, coach and school principal Kenny Alfred prior to the Tigers District 7-4A contest against Vandebilt Catholic. In addition to playing at Morgan City, Alfred also excelled at Nicholls State University and played for the Atlanta Braves organization, advancing to Double A ball.
