Centra Catholic High School held its Pink Game Tuesday against South Terrebonne. Prior to the match, the Lady Eagles gathered for a check presentation to Debbie Acosta of Oncologics. The $1,200 donation is for the “fight against breast cancer.” On the court, the Lady Eagles, ranked No. 8 in the latest Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division V power rankings, upset South Terrebonne, ranked No. 4 in Division II. Central Catholic wide receiver Samarick Paul heads downfield behind the block of teammate Bailey Badeaux during the Eagles’ 28-21 loss to Ascension Catholic a week ago. The Eagles slipped for the second straight week in the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 1A poll following consecutive losses.
