CCHS wins 2 in Donaldsonville

Central Catholic High School finished 2-0 this weekend at Ascension Catholic’s tournament in Donaldsonville, including a 1-0 victory against Dunham in nine innings. While he received a no-decision in the contest, Central Catholic
pitcher Greg Leger, above in earlier season action, tossed seven innings of no-hit ball. Offensively, he finished 3-for-4 with a double. Central Catholic defeated Ascension Catholic, 12-3, in its other weekend game. (The Daily Review/Geoff Stoute)

AES downs Hanson in district opener

HANSON MEMORIAL’S CASEY FITZGERALD circles first base after lining a two-out single in Monday’s action at the Hanson Lady Tigers Complex. Hanson pinned a 10-2 loss on the Highland Baptist Lady Bears to improve to 12-2 overall and 5-0 in District 7-1A.
