The Hanson Memorial Tigers improved to 18-2 overall and 7-0 in District 7-1A Saturday with a 5-2 win over the Ascension Episcopal Gators here at the Amar Lancon Field.
Morgan City High School dropped a doubleheader to St. Joseph’s Academy Saturday in Morgan City by scores of 8-0 and 7-6. Ryan Jennings is congratulated by Patterson High School Principal
Rachael Sanders for earning Closest-to-the-Hole honors at Patterson High School Booster Club’s Golf Tournament at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild Saturday. Jennings achieved the feat on hole No. 11. Jennings and his teammates from Conrad I, Carl Hebert and Taylor Jennings, finished first in the first flight of the
tournament with a score of 60. They won a scorecard playoff.
Morgan City High School swept a District 7-4A doubleheader with Ellender in two run-rule games in five innings Thursday. The Tigers won the first game 12-2 and followed it up with a 22-0 win. In game two, Morgan City’s Philip Hutchinson, above, tossed a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts. With the wins, Morgan City is 5-1 in district with a half-game lead over Assumption.
