’Jacks win second straight; beat Westlake 27-13

Patterson High School won its second straight contest of the season Friday with a 27-13 victory against Westlake. Above, Westlake tries to bring down Patterson’s John Davis. It looks like the Patterson Lumberjacks have turned the corner.
Patterson jumped out to a 14-0 lead en route to a 27-13 win against Westlake Friday for the team’s second win in a row.

MCHS beats Franklin 14-6

Morgan City High School won its second game of the 2014 season Friday with a 14-6 victory against Franklin. Morgan City and Franklin high schools scored all of their points within the last four minutes of the second quarter of Friday night’s football game in Franklin.

MCHS nips Franklin Hornets

FRANKLIN QUARTERBACK DAVID KINCHEN breaks free during Friday’s action at J. C. Dry Stadium. The Morgan City Tigers posted a 14-6 win to spoil the Franklin Hornets’ Homecoming. Franklin will travel to Berwick Thursday to open District 9-3A action.

In a battle for bragging rights for St. Mary Parish, the Morgan City Tigers pulled out a 14-6 win over the Franklin Hornets Friday in non-district action at J. C. Dry Stadium.
