The Berwick Lady Panthers bounced back from a tough weekend that featured two, one-run losses to record a 9-1 victory at Thibodaux Monday.
Brendan Chase Lodrigue, a football player at Munford High School in Munford, Tenn., has signed a football scholarship with Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn. Standing behind Lodrigue are his three coaches, from left, Aaron Marshall, Brandon Usery and Tim Driscoll. He is the son of Samantha and John Lodrigue, formerly of Berwick. Berwick and Morgan City high schools participated in Berwick’s Panther Classic this past weekend. The Panthers finished the weekend 1-1, falling to Chalmette in the championship game, while Morgan City finished 1-2, with its win coming against Ellender. Patterson and Berwick softball teams were in action this weekend as they hosted their annual tournaments. Patterson finished 3-0 at the Ned Stephens Memorial Tournament, while Berwick finsihed 0-2 at its Lady Panther Classic.
