CHS Lady Bulldogs nip Holden

HOLDEN _ Centerville Lady Bulldogs upped their District 8-B record to 2-0 Tuesday with an 8-7 league victory over Holden here at the HHS Field.
Centerville moved to 11-3 overall and 2-0 in district play with the victory.
Ashton Landry started on the rubber for the Lady Bulldogs, going 3 and 2/3 innings, striking out 3, giving up four hits, one walk and three earned runs.
Lacy LaGrange worked the final 3 and 1/3 innings, striking out six, giving up eight hits, no walks and three earned runs.
Leading hitters for Centerville were: Ashton Landry, 2 runs; Rylie Candella - 2 runs, RBI; Taylor Saucier, 1 for 4, double, RBI, run; Lacy LaGrange, 2 for 4, 2 triples, 3 RBI, 2 runs; Victoria Theriot, 3 for 4, 2 RBI; Rachel LeBlanc, RBI; Kennan Stelly, 1 for 3, run; Courtney Landry and sac bunt.
Centerville plays at Patrick Taylor for another district matchup on Thursday.
The Centerville Lady Bulldogs will host the Third annual round robin Saturday at Lady Bulldog field.
In the opener at 10 a.m. Centerville takes on Pearl River. At noon, Patterson plays Pearl River while at 2 p.m. Centerville will battle Patterson.
