Centerville Bulldogs prevails over Holden

Centerville wins on the road to finish the regular season 15-5 in LHSAA play and 17-6 overall on the season.
On Tuesday, Centerville defeated Holden by a final score of 63-58.
The Bulldogs will host a first round playoff game on Friday, February 28th.
This Friday’s game at Bishop McManus has been cancelled due to a tie-breaker game for 2nd place in that district between Grand Isle and Bishop McManus. Holden is now 6-22 on the season and will travel to Grand Isle on Friday.
Centerville’s Rodney Harris led the way with 22 points on seven deuces and 8 of 14 free throws. Jumanji Washington poured in 11 points on four field goals, including one trey, and 1 of 3 free throws. Courtland Pogue also tallied 11 points, making good on four deuces and 1 of 3 charity shots.
Rounding out the scoring for the Bulldogs were: Christian Arias, 6; Zacchaeus Jackson, 3; Marvin Strawder, 2; Cameron Pogue, 2; Cole Candella, 2; Dontre Austin, 2 and Juwan Thomas, 2.
