Berwick High tennis teams split matches

The Berwick High School tennis teams split with Vandebilt Catholic Tuesday as the Lady Panthers won 3-2 while the Panthers fell 5-0.
The Lady Panthers picked up two wins in doubles action as Claire Parsiola and Mary Margaret Sanford won 6-3, 0-6, 7-6, (11-9), while the team of Emma Gray and Allis Armato won 6-4, 6-3.
Abigail Askew and Olivia Orlando fell in their doubles match, 7-5, 2-6, 6-7 (7-9).
In singles action, Berwick’s Signe Parsiola won 6-3, 2-6, 6-4, while Jeanne Marie Hidalgo fell 4-6, 7-5, 4-6.
In boys’ action, Nate Furlette fell in singles’ action, 6-3, 6-0, while Andre Adams also fell in singles’ play, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles’ action, Geisler Ibert and Drew Landry, Parker Felterman and Austin DeHart, and Jake Marcel and Levi Porter all fell to their Vandebilt Catholic opponents, 6-0, 6-0.
Berwick will return to action Thursday when it travels to face E.D. White in a 3 p.m. match at Nicholls State in Thibodaux.
