The Morgan City Junior High School girls’ basketball team is holding a barbeque dinner fundraiser Jan. 18 to raise money to attend the Middle School Multi-State Championship at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, an event the Lady Tigers were chosen to attend Jan. 31-Feb. 1. The team is accepting both monetary donations for the trip, which head coach Allise Jennings estimated will cost $2,200, and food for the fundraiser. Those interested in helping should call Jennings at 985-714-3966. All checks should be made payable to Morgan City Junior High School. Bayou Vista Garden Club sponsored its Trash to Treasure fundraiser Oct. 19 at the Bayou Vista Community Center. The club expressed appreciation to the community, KQKI, The Daily Review and the staff at the community center for support of the event.
