Dozens of eager eagle-watchers flocked to Morgan City over the weekend. They wanted to see bald eagles, and they wanted to hear how bald eagles are doing. “Bald eagles are doing fine in Louisiana,” said Michael Seymour of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries at a Saturday morning seminar at the Petroleum Club.

A movement with roots in Morgan City helped clean homes ravaged by the August floods in south Louisiana, comforted many who lost everything and continues to assist in the recovery.

Superintendent gets extension, raise
