A group of community members hopes to bring a day care facility for senior citizens to Morgan City before the end of 2018.

Paddle your own canoe: Man stops in Charenton on his way from Kansas to Fla.

Lance Elliot stopped in St. Mary Parish last week after having paddled his canoe hundreds of miles from the state of Kansas on his way to visit family in Florida.

Lance Elliot had never seen a swamp until last week. He had never seen an alligator peaking its’ head up from still, murky waters or seen Spanish Moss hanging delicately from a cypress tree.
