The sound of children’s laughter filled the air during the Family Fun Day hosted by the Patterson Police Department Saturday behind Hattie Watts Elementary. Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle estimated the crowd at about 1,000 people.
Sheriff’s investigators are seeking two suspects in an alleged home invasion in the Charenton area. At about 11:30 a.m. Friday deputies responded to a residential burglary in the 7000 block area of La. 87 in Charenton.

A two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon sent two people to the hospital with apparently minor injuries, according to Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle. The van in the picture attempted to cross U.S. 90 at Red Cypress Road shortly after 4 p.m. when the wreck occurred, he said.
