Dustin Fuselier won the annual 700 Club Tournament Saturday at Charlie’s Lanes. Fuselier, defeated Alberto Bochas, the winner of the loser’s bracket, 218-190, to win the event. Bochas would have had to beat Fuselier, the champion of the winner’s bracket, twice to win the event.

The sudden death of Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch in late January 2014 was the top local news story of 2014, as chosen by the editorial staff of The Daily Review. Crouch was found dead in a hotel room at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi, on Jan. 31, 2014, with what the local coroner ruled a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Cervus-Hephaestus Queens’ Club annual social will be held Feb. 14 at Café Jo Jo’s in Morgan City.
