Memorial Day weekend in Morgan City will feature a Freedom Fest and Freedom Ride Saturday and Sunday followed by a Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony Monday.

Pelican Waste to start garbage pickup Nov. 2

Pelican Waste & Debris workers began delivering new garbage cans Tuesday, preparing to start collecting trash for residents of Berwick, Patterson and unincorporated St. Mary Parish beginning Nov. 2. Progressive Waste Solutions will begin removing its old garbage cans Nov. 2.
