New leadership and the existing staff at Franklin Foundation Hospital strive to provide the best possible health care available. That was the message delivered to the St. Mary Parish Council Wednesday by Dawn Kaiser, the hospital’s new development marketing coordinator.

Shrimp & Petroleum Festival kicks off

Wilma Sallee was unloading her trailer under the bridge on Wednesday for the 79th Shrimp and Petroleum Festival. Signs Four Design is one of the 185 vendors that will be participating in the arts and crafts show. The festival opens at 5 p.m. today and runs through Monday.

Dr. Walter Daniels recognized at Teche Regional Medical Center

Teche Regional Medical Center presented Dr. Walter Daniels a plaque on Tuesday for his dedication to the medical profession and service to the community. Daniels is retiring.
