A tree fell on two mobile homes this morning in the 400 block of Garber Street in Morgan City. No injuries were reported, but one home had heavy damage. The other moderate damage, according to fire department officials.

Staff Report Berwick and Patterson High schools were well represented on the All-District 9-3A first team, while Berwick’s head coach Lloyd Burchfield picked up an individual honor. Berwick placed eight on the first team, and Patterson had five selections.

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- A new study of the animals that inspired teddy bears finds that Louisiana black bears are likely to survive another century as long as conditions remain stable.
