Members of The Confraternity of Our Lady Star of the Sea gathered Sunday afternoon with the Our Lady Star of the Sea statue on Brashear Avenue to pray for the protection for the community by asking the “Blessed Mother” to intercede. Meantime, the eastern North Pacific hurricane season was its busiest since 1992, with 20 named storms.
