Four events set for Oct. 6 in Franklin
Franklin will be buzzing on Saturday, Oct. 6.
There are four events that will take place that day.
First is St. Mary Landmarks Society’s White Elephant Sale. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of Shadowlawn at 906 Main Street.
Second, the Third Annual Art Walk will take place along Main Street from 3 to 6 p.m. Look for the gold fleur-de-lis with purple accents. These will be placed at or near the art venues.
Some artists will have art for sale, and others will only display their creations. Music by the trio of Alfred Hills, Ted Foulcard and Clarence Smith will be from 3 to 5 p.m.
Third, Techeland Arts Council will host a Gathering of Art Connoisseurs at The Lamp Post on the corner of Jackson and Main Streets from 3 to 6 p.m. Techeland Arts Council will provide information about its production “No Hitchin’” and the organization.
Last, but certainly not least, the paddlers for Tour du Teche III will stop in Franklin in the early evening and continue to arrive throughout the night and early morning. Music by Flashback will happen from 5 to 9 p.m. behind the former Blevins Building.
