The first to qualify this morning for various elections across St. Mary Parish were, from left, sheriff’s candidates George Rodriguez, incumbent Mark Hebert and Patrick LaSalle; Albert Foulcard, incumbent parish council District 9; incumbent Parish President Paul Naquin; Glenn Hidalgo incumbent parish council District 4; Rodney Olander, candidate for parish council District 9; incumbent David Hanagriff, parish council District 3; Sterling Freyou, candidate for parish council District 8; Cliff Dressel, incumbent candidate for St. Mary Parish Clerk of Courts; incumbent Jarrod Longman, candidate for St. Mary Parish Assessor; Craig Mathews, incumbent parish council District 1; and Kevin Voisin, candidate for parish council District 11. Later in the morning, as of 9:30 a.m., qualifiers included Brett Allain, candidate for state senator District 21; Sam Jones, incumbent state representative District 50; Chip Metz Jr., incumbent St. Mary Parish Coroner; incumbent Charles Middleton, parish council District 2; incumbent Ken Singleton, parish council District 5; incumbent Logan Fromenthal, parish council District 6; Eric Gaudet Jr., justice of the peace in Ward 4; and James P. Carinhas and David W. Hill, constable in Ward 5.
