Edward Frederick Wilson Jr. (Toot) was born on March 31, 1977 at Franklin Foundation to Edward Wilson Sr. and Beverly Ann Knight-Wilson.

Edward was called to home to rest on Friday, January 13, 2012 following a short illness.

He was baptized at age 12 by Pastor Joseph Fields at St. Joseph Baptist Church, He was the eldest of two children. He was affectionately known as “Toot” by his family and friends.

Edward was educated in the St. Mary Parish School System in Franklin. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1995 with a passion for entering the United States Armed Forces. In 1995 he went on to serve in the U.S. Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. After his discharge, he became employed by Bay Offshore at the Port of Iberia as a scaffold builder. He later moved to Baton Rouge to attend ITT Technical College, where he studied Air Conditioning and Electrical Technology. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service while receiving his college education.

He loved to fish and was an avid Tennessee Titans fan. He loved cleaning his car and listening to music. He was a very kind and caring person who always used to say, “God has done some good things for me, but I truly know He has a lot more in store to come.” One thing he never had to worry about was knowing whether or not his mom, dad or sister had his back.
