Edward Lee “Eddie” Robichaux

Edward Lee “Eddie” Robichaux, a lifelong resident of Houma, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at the age of 56 after a long, courageous battle with cancer

Visitation will be held today, Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, 6-9 p.m., at Chauvin Funeral Home Inc. and Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, from 8 a.m. until service time at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

Burial will be in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Pamela Patterson Robichaux. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Amanda Ann and Aimee Elizabeth, both of Houma. He is also survived by his mother, Ruth Hochenedel Robichaux; brother, John Christopher “Dupe” Robichaux;

sisters, Virginia Robichaux Pellegrin and husband Myrden and Patricia Robichaux Gilbert; father-in-law, Edward Patterson Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robichaux was preceded in death by his father, Ray Joseph Robichaux; brother, Ernest Ray “Ernie” Robichaux; and mother-in-law, Juanita Russo Patterson.

He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

He was an operations manager for 15 years at Central Boat Rentals.

Eddie loved life and lived each day to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, traveling, LSU tailgating and being outdoors. In his free time, he took off to Grand Isle to relax and pursue his passion of fishing. He also spent many years as a Mardi Gras float captain for the Krewe of Houmas. What he loved most was spending time with his family and friends.

Eddie was easy-going, had a magnetic personality, a genuine demeanor and was a true prankster. He inspired everyone with a positive attitude and his faith in God. His legacy will be his faith and love, and we will always remember his humor and beautiful smile.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Servants of Divine Mercy, 280 Monarch Drive, Apt. C, Houma, LA 70364.
