Drug charges predominate recent local arrest reports
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests, according to Sheriff Mark Hebert:
—Wilson Guenard, 20, of Liberty Drive, Slidell, turned himself in and was arrested at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for criminal damage to property for a graffiti incident in Bayou Vista. Booked into the parish jail with a $3,000 bond and later released.
—Erick W. Songe, 17, of Third Street, Morgan City, was arrested in the Berwick area at 10:23 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. Booked into the parish jail with a $5,000 bond.
—Daniel Wartenberg, 37, and Juliet Fisher, 51, of Mars Road, Bayou Vista, were arrested at 9:24 p.m. Monday, with Wartenberg being arrested for distribution of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Percocet and possession of Adipex P; Fischer was charged with resisting an officer. Both were booked into the parish jail. Bond has not been set for Wartenberg, and Fisher has a $1,000 bond.
The Patterson Police Department made the following arrests overnight:
—Veronica P. Herzog, 23, of La. 182, Patterson, was arrested at Lee and Catherine streets at 2:08 a.m. today for driving under suspension and no headlights. Released after paying cash bond of $466.
—April Lynn Aucoin, 32, of Cremo Lane, Patterson, was arrested on U.S. 90 East in front of Central Baptist Church at 11:01 p.m. Tuesday for not having driver’s license, not having headlights on, and for a failure-to-appear warrant for not having headlights on. Remains incarcerated with a $700 bond.
The Berwick Police Department reports the followings arrests, according to Chief James Richard:
—Bryan James Miller, 30, of Sixth Street, Berwick, arrested at his residence at 9:18 p.m. Tuesday for possession of drug paraphernalia after a complaint was made about narcotics activity at the residence. He was released on $1,500 bond.
—Clifton James Lodrigue, 26, of Superior Lane, Morgan City, arrested at 3:28 p.m. on La. 182 for driving a four-wheeler on a public highway, driving under suspension and no driver’s license. Released on $1,250 bond.
—Morgan Currington, 19, of North Verret Street, Amelia, was arrested at 10:59 p.m. Monday in a traffic stop on Utah Street in Berwick on warrants for seven counts of felony fraud and one count of felony larceny from Okaloosa County, Fla. She remains incarcerated in the Berwick jail and will go to court for extradition to Florida.
The Morgan City Police Department reports the following arrests overnight, according to Chief Marc Folse:
—Carlos Hernandez, 32, of Dubar Street, Amelia, arrested at 11:59 p.m. Sunday for appearing in public intoxicated. Released on $285 bond.
—Leanna Steele, 24, of Shaw Drive, Morgan City, arrested at 3:58 p.m. Monday on a warrant for simple battery. Released on $1,000 bond.
—Luvenia Steele, 48, of Terrebonne Street, Morgan City, arrested on at 3:58 p.m. Monday for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, after MCPD received call of marijuana being inside her residence. No bond information available.
—David Brown Jr., 24, of Federal Avenue, Morgan City, arrested at 11:08 p.m. Tuesday for disturbing the peace. Booked and incarcerated with bond set at $285.
—Amber McClendon, 19, and Brandon McClendon, 25, of Headland Street, Morgan City, arrested at their residence at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday, charged with domestic abuse battery, unlawful possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (cocaine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal possession of stolen things. Officers were called to the residence regarding a domestic disturbance. While there, officers located a suspected crack pipe, a marijuana pipe, and a grinder used to grind the marijuana on the coffee table in the living room. Officers also located a street sign belonging to the city. Both were released after B. McClendon posted a $7,500 bond, and A. McClendon posted a $1,000 bond.
