Drug bust in Four Corners nabs two
St. Mary Parish narcotics detectives joined forces with Iberia Parish and United States Marshals agents to make a drug bust in Four Corners Wednesday.
The investigation at 1272 Big Four Corners Road netted marijuana with a street value of $5,250; crack cocaine valued at $2,700; $105 of liquid codeine; Xanax tablets valued at $690; and some $380 in other narcotic pills. They also seized $3,034 in cash pending forfeiture.
Wendall Reshawn Hines, 20, of 1272 Big Four Corners Road, was charged at 1:38 p.m. with possession of marijuana, crack cocaine and codeine with intent to distribute, transactions involving drug proceeds, violation of a drug free zone, possession of a firearm in the presence of controlled dangerous substances, two counts possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
Christopher James Howard, 30, of 1016 Cypremort Road, Four Corners, was also charged with possession of Xanax with intent to distribute, transactions involving drug proceeds and prohibited acts in this case defined as “doctor shopping.”
No bonds were set.
