Drexler and Richardson joined in marriage
Candiss Nicole Drexler and Herbert Wayne Richardson Jr. exchanged vows during a double-ring nuptial mass on Saturday, June 30 at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony was held at St. Edward Catholic Church. Monsignor Ronald Broussard officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Steven and Sharon Drexler of New Iberia. The groom is the son of Debra Gordon-Richardson and Herbert Richardson Sr. of Houston.
The bride wore a MariLee corset, strapless, ivory, A-line, silk organza gown with a sweetheart neckline and skirt of continuous silk organza from the waist to the floor accented with a beaded belt. She wore a floor-length ivory fascinator veil with rhinestone embellishments and carried a bouquet of ivory hydrangea with purple and red specialty roses wrapped with purple and red ribbon with lights.
Lisa Landry served as the maid of honor and Liesha M. Colbert served as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Launa Metz, Anastacia Edwards, Meoka McBride, Ashley Drexler and Donnie Johnson served as bridesman.
The maid and matron of honor carried bouquets of red roses and purple hydrangea with purple ribbon. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of red roses with purple ribbon.
Orrian Richardson and Larry Capehart served as best men. The groomsmen were Larren Metz, Josh Watson, Jason Burroughs, A.J. Womack, Rick Mitchell and Jalen Johnson.
Aelivia Landry and Danielle Charles served as flower girls and Harper Wayne Richardson and Deante’ Gibson were the ring bearers.
Tracee Richardson and members of the bride’s dance team served as ushers.
Following a reception held at Keith’s Ballroom in Broussard, the couple departed for a honeymoon trip to New Orleans.
The couple will reside in Houston.
