Dragna Brothers routs Johnny's Propeller, 13-1

Andre Dragna recorded a double and a triple as Dragna Brothers routed Johnny’s Propeller, 13-1, in Dixie League action Saturday at Complex Park.

Dragna finished 2-for-3 with three runs. He also pitched two innings and allowed just a walk and fanned three.

Bryce Grizzaffi also finished 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and two runs for Dragna Brothers. On the mound, he allowed a run on a hit with a walk and fanned four in two innings of work.

Other top contributors for Dragna included Zachary Stewart, 1-for-4, a double, four RBIs and a run; Alex Brocato, 1-for-1, three RBIs and two runs; Akayah Poole, 1-for-4, two RBIs and a run; Jake Arceneaux, 1-for-3, a run; Ricky Cruz, two runs; and Michael Crappell, a run.

For Johnny’s, Peter Washington finished 1-for-1 with a double and a run.

Morgan City Rentals 13, Skipper’s 7

Morgan City Rentals defeated Skippers in a Dixie League game Saturday in which Skipper’s only had seven players.

Hunter Daigle finished 1-for-1 with a triple, three RBIs and a run for Morgan City Rentals, while Tucker Manuel was 2-for-2 with two runs; Dylan Tingle, 2-for-4; Blaize Louviere, Kytrell Grogan and Brooks Thomas, each two runs; and Brennan Lowe, a run.

For Skipper’s Tank Charles finished 2-for-3 with two RBIS and two runs, while Dakota Lux was 1-for-1 with an RBI and a run; Austin Blair added an RBI and a run and Joseph Madison and Ethan Boagni each scored a run.

Whitney Bank 12

Grizzaffi’s Appliance and Furniture and Whitney Bank played to a tie in action Friday at Spinella Park in Morgan City.

Riley Lodrigue, Ty Eschette, Hayden Robinson and Zane Griffin all finished 3-for-3 for Grizzaffi’s, while Payton Pickens, Zaki Singleton, Brennan Sauce, Vernon Singleton and Tylon Hollins all finished 2-for-3.

For Whitney Bank, Robert Blanchard and Blake Peterson each finished 3-for-3. Other contributors included Gary Nicar and Ty Russo, each 2-for-2; Zack Billiot, Chris Prejeant and Conner Ho, each 2-for-3; and Brayden Alcina, Thomas Carter, Bryson Dupuy and Tyler Stewart, each 1-for-3.

Rapid Trucking defeated Candy Fleet in other action Friday at Spinella Park in Morgan City.

Laurielle Bias and Domondrick Blackburn each finished 2-for-2 for Rapid Truckng, while Dylan Duval, Tylon Folse, JaQuan Gray, Tylon Mobley and Keegan Lane, each 2-for-3. Drake Hue, Elijah Brown and Ramye Jones each finished 1-for-2; and Mike Jones and Howard Kinchen, each 1-for-3.

For Candy Fleet, De Mari Watkins was 3-for-3, while Carsyn Meador and Mason Johnston each were 2-for-3. Mason Comeaux and Jayden Little each were 1-for-2 and Drew Miller and Gavyn Ramagos, each 1-for-3.

Dragna Brothers edged Skipper’s in the sixth inning contest Wednesday in Dixie League action at Complex Park in Morgan City.

Bryce Grizzaffi earned the save for Dragna Brothers as he fanned three of the five batters he faced in the bottom of the sixth. He also walked two in the inning.

Alex Brocato led Dragna Brothers with a 1-for-3 performance with a double, three RBIs and three runs.

For Skipper’s Dakota Lux finished 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Joseph Madison was 1-for-2 with a home run. Ethan Boagni also finished 1-for-2, a triple and a run.
