Doctor Mistie Charlemagne joins Teche Regional staff
MORGAN CITY, La. — Mistie Charlemagne, M.D., an internal medicine physician, has joined the Teche Regional Medical Center Medical Staff announced Butch Frazier, chief executive officer.
“We are pleased that we were able to provide an opportunity to Dr. Charlemagne to practice medicine in our community,” said Frazier. “With the addition of Dr. Charlemagne, we will be able to expand our existing internal medicine services, keeping people at home for their health care needs.”
Charlemagne received her doctor of medicine from the Medical University of Americas, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Leeward Islands, West Indies. She did a residency in internal medicine at Leonard Chabert Medical Center in Houma.
Charlemagne specializes in internal medicine with a focus on disease prevention and progression. She is particularly interested in the effective treatment of diabetes, depression, arthritis, hypertension and heart disease. Her passion is providing compassionate end of life care for patients and their families.
Charlemagne is looking forward to working with the medical staff at Teche Regional Medical Center to provide primary care to the people in this community.
