Cypress Sawmill Festival queens enjoyed year

EDITOR’S NOTE: This is a farewell message from Patterson Cypress Sawmill Festival Miss Queen XIX Jessica Decuir. She will end her reign April 7 at the end of the Cypress Sawmill Festival being held April 5 to 7 at Kemper Williams Park near Patterson.

“I have had a wonderful time representing not only the Patterson Cypress Sawmill Festival, but my hometown of Patterson. I have traveled many miles and made many friends and memories that will last a lifetime.

“Winning this title was a dream come true and I wouldn’t trade any of it. This has been a busy year and I am sad to see it go but all good things have to come to an end.

“I am forever your Patterson Cypress Sawmill Queen XIX Jessica Decuir.”

“This year has been one of the best years of my life! I loved traveling this amazing state of Louisiana while representing the Patterson Cypress Sawmill Festival and the hardworking people of the PCSF.

“The memories that I have made on this journey will never be forgotten; I will cherish them always. I’ve also met some incredible people on this journey as teen queen and each of them will always hold a special place in my heart.

“It has been my honor promoting this festival and I wouldn’t take anything back even if I could. I’m so thankful for everything God has given me this year and I’m thankful that He has kept me safe through all my travels.

“I have traveled with an amazing Miss Queen (Jessica Decuir) who I love dearly and I hope that we stay close throughout our life. I love Patterson, Louisiana, and the Patterson Cypress Sawmill Festival. I’ve done my best this year and I hope it shows!

“I am now and forever will be your Patterson Cypress Sawmill Festival Teen Queen XIX Carley Elizabeth Gravois.”
