Council to meet Tuesday
The Berwick Town Council will meet for its monthly meeting Tuesday at Town Hall.
The meeting will begin with two public hearings. The first concerns amending an M-1 zoning district to include heavy lifting, hydrostatic testing and nitrogen testing. The second public hearing is to amend an animal-related ordinance.
The council will introduce an ordinance to set a drainage fee for 2011. Also, The Daily Review will be announced as the town’s official journal.
The council may adopt a resolution so that Town Clerk Newell “Bubba” Slaughter will be authorized to certify the town’s requests for state disbursements pertaining to the Tour du Teche Canoe Race. The council may approve a Louisiana Compliance Questionnaire, too.
Approval of a final payment for Renwick Phase 4 to Gray Construction for $38,978 and to Miller Engineers for $1,808 also will be considered. The council may approve a liquor permit to Elaine Stratton for Bee Bee’s Seafood, too.
The meeting will convene at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
