Suspects sought in Charenton attack

Sheriff’s investigators are seeking two suspects in an alleged home invasion in the Charenton area.
At about 11:30 a.m. Friday deputies responded to a residential burglary in the 7000 block area of La. 87 in Charenton.
Sheriff Mark Hebert said detectives reported that two black males wearing masks and dark clothing attacked a pregnant female victim, hitting and kicking her after she arrived home at the residence.
The victim was able to escape and fled to a neighbor’s home nearby. The victim was transported to Franklin Foundation Hospital. She is listed in stable condition.
Investigators are seeking information from anyone who may have seen the perpetrators in the area.
The description of the two males is limited. They are described as being of average height. One is of husky build. The other is described as thin.
