Police Reports 12-6-13

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests this morning:
Two juvenile males, ages 15 and 16, were arrested Thursday at 8:05 a.m. on charges of disturbing the peace by fighting. Both were released to guardians pending juvenile court.
Jolene R. Guillory, 38, of 318 Charlotte Drive, Patterson, was arrested Thursday at 9:12 a.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons.
Jay Bliss, 24, of 1915 River Road, Berwick, was arrested Thursday at 2:24 p.m. on warrants charging him with failure to appear on charges of unauthorized use of a movable, two counts of simple burglary and two counts of theft. He was also charged on Berwick warrants with charges of illegal possession of stolen things. No bond was set.
Luis Alberto Romero Cruz, 25, of Houma, was arrested Thursday at 4:45 p.m. on warrants from 16th Judicial Court charging him with two counts of unlawful production, manufacturing, distribution or possession of fraudulent documents for identification purposes; two counts of filing false public records; identity theft; access device fraud; bank fraud; and illegal transmission of monetary funds. He was also charged on 17th Judicial District Court warrants with charges of two counts of forgery; two counts of unlawful production, manufacturing, distribution or possession of fraudulent documents for identification purposes; and two counts of filing false public records. And he was charged on 32nd Judicial District Court warrants with charges of four counts of unlawful production, manufacturing, distribution or possession of fraudulent documents for identification purposes; four counts of forgery; four counts of filing public records; and identity theft.
The arrest was made in an operation with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S Customs. No bond was set.
Sherie Pullen, 39, of 117 Shannon St., Patterson, was arrested Thursday at 7:08 p.m. on a charge of cruelty to juveniles. No bond was set.
Vanessa Spencer, 27, of Pierre Part, was arrested Thursday at 9:21 p.m. on a charge of theft of goods. She was released on a summons.
Benjamin Dupuy, 45, of 113 Pluto St., Bayou Vista, and Joseph Kilby, 40, of Breaux Bridge, were arrested Thursday at 10:39 p.m. on charges of simple battery. Bonds were set at $500.
Jack Bergeron Jr., 33, of 435 Clarke Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Thursday at 10:40 p.m. on charges of disturbing the peace intoxicated and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $1,500.
Matthew J. Miller, 19, of 1135 General Clark Road, Morgan City, was arrested today at 2 a.m. on charges of no driver’s license, speeding and a failure to appear warrant on a charge of possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $2,100.
Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division agents reported three arrests in a drug bust.
Eric Charles, 23, of Egle Street, Morgan City, was charged Thursday at 12:15 p.m. on a warrant charging him with possession of Schedule I and II narcotics; distribution of marijuana; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute; possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of drug paraphernalia; violation of a drug free zone; and transactions involving drug proceeds.
Jovon Johnson, 30, of 1710 Cedar St., Morgan City, was charged with possession of marijuana and violation of a drug free zone.
Chrisdian Poole, 21, of Egle Street, Morgan City, was charged with possession of Schedule I and II narcotics, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives conducted an investigation at a hotel in Morgan City and reportedly observed Charles walk out of a room and meet with another subject who was identified as Johnson. Detectives allegedly witnessed a transaction between the two, in which Charles sold a bag of marijuana to Johnson. Detectives detained both subjects.
The investigation led detectives to Charles’ hotel room where they made contact with Charles’ girlfriend, identified as Poole. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the room and located over $5,700 in crack cocaine and marijuana, a handgun and items of drug paraphernalia. The crack cocaine has an estimated street value of $4,200. The marijuana has an estimated street value of $1,520. Detectives also found Charles to be in possession of $480 in cash which was seized pending forfeiture.
All three subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set on Charles and Johnson. Poole’s bond is set at $11,000.
Charles Preece, 25, of 1927 River Road, Berwick, was charged in an unrelated arrest Thursday at 2:24 p.m. with possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction of justice. No bond was set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Sandra Jackson, 55, of Park Avenue, Franklin, Thursday at 10:31 a.m. on charges of simple battery and possession of marijuana. She was released on $2,500 bond.
Two arrests were made after an investigation into a large fight in the area of Weber and Bigler streets.
Brice Jones, 18, of St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, was charged Thursday at 2:17 p.m. with disturbing the peace by fighting, inciting a riot and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles. He was released on $4,500 bond.
Cornelius Grimm, 19, of Seventh Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 12:26 p.m. on warrants charging him with aggravated assault, disturbing the peace by fighting, inciting a riot and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles. He was held on $12,500 bond.
