Police Reports 12-30-13

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Teresa Franks, 62, of 115 V’s Lane, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 11:24 a.m. on warrants charging her with failure to appear on charges of expired vehicle inspection, improper tail lights, no driver’s license, no insurance, driving under suspension, failure to maintain control and issuing worthless checks. She was released on $649 bond.
Troy Carnley, 33, of 501 Henry St., Patterson, was arrested Saturday at 2:09 p.m. on charges of hit and run, criminal trespassing, two counts of resisting an officer, two counts of battery on an officer, four counts of resisting an officer with force or violence, two counts of simple criminal damage to property, no driver’s license, careless operation and four counts of threatening a public official.
A deputy responded to a report of a hit and run crash on La. 182 in Amelia with a description of a male and female subjects who allegedly fled the area on foot following the crash at the Janice Marcel Bridge. The deputy located a male subject matching the description at a nearby RV park. The man was seen crouching behind a trailer with blood on his face. As the deputy approached, the man crawled under the residence. After issuing several commands to come out from beneath the residence, the deputy apprehended and detained the male subject who was identified as Carnley. Carnley was returned to the site of the crash where deputies reportedly found an open container of liquor inside the vehicle. Deputies also observed damage to the bridge caused by the impact of the vehicle. During the course of the investigation Carnley reportedly yelled profanities, made verbal threats and attempted to resist arrest by pulling away from deputies. At one point, Carnley allegedly attempted to kick out the window of a police unit, refused medical treatment, yelled profanities and spit on medical personnel. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. An additional arrest in the crash investigation is pending.
Katherine V. Stoute, 21, of 170 Mallard St., Morgan City, was arrested Saturday at 3:48 p.m. on a charge of theft of goods. She was released on a summons.
Gregory Payne, 38, of 1900 Saturn Road, Lot 1, Bayou Vista, was arrested Saturday at 8:20 p.m. on charges of domestic battery by strangulation, domestic battery and disturbing the peace intoxicated. No bond was set.
Brennan M. Moore, 18, of 118 Level St., Franklin, Dylan Boiling, 17, of 237 Hunting Road, Ricohoc, and Trent Duhon, 19, of 815 U.S. 90, Bayou Vista, were all arrested Sunday at 12:50 a.m. on charges of possession of synthetic marijuana. Each was released on a $2,000 bond.
Jeana Williams, 20, of 153 Elaine St., Morgan City, and Kenneth McDonald, 27, of 129 Shannon Lane, Patterson, were arrested Sunday at 12:27 a.m. on charges of simple battery and disturbing the peace. Bonds were set at $750 and Williams was released on bond.
Hebert also reported the Narcotics Division arrest of Ariel R. Brown, 31, of 1227 Josephine St., Franklin, Friday at 3:36 p.m. on a charge of possession of marijuana and two Lafayette Parish failure to appear warrants on traffic violations. No bond was set.
Chitimacha Police Chief Blaise Smith reported the arrest of Michael DeJean, 48, of Charenton, Wednesday at 10 p.m. on a charge of DWI. No bond was set.
Darnell Ayro, 30, of Jeanerette, was arrested Saturday at 6:30 p.m. on a charge of criminal trespassing. He was released on a summons.
Lareco Harrison, 24, no address given, was arrested Saturday at 10 p.m. on a charge of criminal trespassing. He was released on a summons.
Eldridge Gibson, 26, of Baldwin, was arrested Sunday at 2:42 a.m. on a charge of criminal trespassing. He was released on a summons.
Christopher Charatain, 22, of Baldwin, was arrested Sunday at 2:56 a.m. on a charge of criminal trespassing. No bond was set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Cory Collins, 30, of Lafayette, Friday at 2:15 a.m. on charges of head light violation and driving under suspension, as well as a Lafayette failure to appear warrant on a charge of simple criminal damage to property. No bond was set.
Belinda Roberson, 55, of Park Avenue, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 8:33 a.m. on a warrant charging her with felony theft by fraud. She was released on $250 bond.
Verges Pierre, 65, of Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, was arrested Saturday at 10:57 p.m. on a charge of DWI and careless operation. He was released on $3,000 bond.
Denise Bourda, 45, of E. Long St., Baldwin, was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging her with failure to return a leased movable. She was released on $500 bond.
Bonnie Sherman, 28, of Kemper Road, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at on a warrant charging her with failure to return a leased movable and another charging her with issuing worthless checks. She was released on $1,500 bond.
Raheem Randle, 21, and Mace Copeland IV, 18, both of Pecan Drive, Franklin, were arrested Sunday at 6:48 p.m. on charges of disturbing the peace. Randle was released on $250 bond and Copeland was held on $250 bond.
