Police Reports 12-26-13

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Georgette Bush, 26, of Oakdale Street, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 10:17 a.m. on charges of attempted possession of Schedule III narcotics, illegal obtaining of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a legend drug without a prescription and possession of Schedule III narcotics. No bond was set.
Equanna Gable, 22, of Easy Street, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 12:13 p.m. on a charge of theft under $500. Gable was released on $1,000 bond.
Jalicia Broussard, 19, of Martin Luther King Drive, Jeanerette, was arrested Monday at 1:08 p.m. on a charge of theft under $500. Broussard was released on $1,000 bond.
Jamarcus Clark, 23, of Orange St., Morgan City, was arrested on warrants charging him with attempted first degree murder, attempted armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. No bond was set.
Jessica Trahan, 28, of Maple Street, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 4 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of telephone harassment and a sheriff’s office failure to appear warrant on a charge of forgery. She was released to the sheriff’s office.
Adrianna Daigle, 33, of Hebert Street, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 11:36 p.m. on charges of criminal trespassing, criminal mischief and possession of marijuana. She was released on $3,000 bond.
Courtney L. Richardson, 26, of Third Street, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 6:29 p.m. on a charge of no driver’s license. She was released on $210 bond.
Ventress Loston, 35, of Talbot Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 2:18 a.m. on a charge of domestic battery. No bond was set.
Demarcus Keal, 35, of Railroad Avenue, Baldwin, was arrested Wednesday at 10:27 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of no seat belt and suspended driver’s license. He was held on $300 bond.
Baldwin Police Chief Gerald Minor reported the arrest of Bryce Marlon Joseph, 36, of 225 Martin Luther King Street, Charenton, Dec. 18 on a charge of driving under suspension. He was released on a summons.
Pamela Smith, 41, of 429 Big Four Corners Road, Jeanerette, was arrested Dec. 21 on a charge of simple battery. Bond was set at $1,000.
Byron Lewis, 55, of 17518 La. 182, Baldwin, was arrested Dec. 21 on a charge of simple battery. Bond was set at $1,000.
Blaise Arthur Scelfo, 27, of 111 Cedarwood Drive, Franklin, was arrested Dec. 21 on charges of second offense DWI, open container, reckless operation and speeding. No bond was set.
Jaralan Wilson, 29, of 118 Jolivette St., Baldwin, was arrested Dec. 21 on an unspecified sheriff’s office warrant. He was turned over to the sheriff’s department.
Kendrick Brown, no age given, of 239 Coulee St., Baldwin, was arrested Dec. 22 on an unspecified sheriff’s office warrant. He was turned over to the sheriff’s department.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the arrest of Glen D. Guthrie Jr., 58, of 103 Marin Lane, Patterson, Monday at 6:06 a.m. on a leash law violation. He was released on a summons.
A 15-year-old female, of Aransas Pass, Texas, was arrested Monday at 7:15 p.m. on a charge of theft of goods.
Also arrested was Tony Kaufman, 20, of 113 Carriage Cove Lane, Franklin, on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, illegal possession of stolen things, theft of goods and obstruction of justice.
A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifters fleeing on foot from a store in Bayou Vista. The juvenile female was located in a nearby parking lot. The deputy was informed by store personnel that the juvenile was seen concealing items in her purse before leaving the store with a male subject. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that the juvenile was listed as a runaway from Texas and that she was travelling with Kaufman. Kaufman was located at a fast food restaurant in Bayou Vista. Through further investigation, the deputy discovered that Kaufman was in possession of a vehicle that was reported stolen from Texas. The vehicle was located at a motel in Morgan City. The juvenile was transported to the Assumption Parish youth detention center and Kaufman was released on a $32,000 bond.
Anthony Rink, 40, and Rebecca Van-Matre, 39, both of 411B Carol Road, Bayou Vista, were arrested Tuesday at 2:57 a.m. on charges of domestic battery. Rink was released on $5,000 bond and no bond was set on Van-Matre.
Andrew Stewart, 21, of 266 Eves St., Sorrell, was arrested Tuesday at 9:51 a.m. on a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and held on $50,000 bond.
Joshua Perro, 25, of 179 Eves St., Sorrell, was arrested Tuesday at 12:28 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of domestic battery. No bond was set.
Marcus Gray, 29, of 116 Robicheaux Lane, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 8:05 p.m. on a warrant charging him with simple assault. He was released on $250 bond.
Reneika Clark, 31, of 106 Homestead Road, Patterson, was arrested Wednesday at 3:07 a.m. on charges of careless operation, hit and run and expired license plate. She was released on $2,000 bond.
Jamond Johnson, 24, of 1006 Iberia St., Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 1:58 a.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. He was released on $250 bond.
Also arrested was Zadre Johnson, 20, of 824 Park St., No. 64, Patterson on a charge of disturbing the peace by fighting and failure to appear on a charge of simple battery. No bond was set.
Both were arrested after a reported fight outside the Patterson Civic Center.
Marielle Washington, 19, of 126 Baker Road, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 2:03 a.m. on a charge of battery on a police officer after allegedly grabbing a deputy’s duty gear at the Patterson Civic Center. She was released on $1,000 bond.
Kurwin J. Jones Sr., 25, of 306 Wise St., Morgan City, was arrested Wednesday at 1:50 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of domestic battery. Bond was set at $3,500.
Drew Baugher, 24, of 124 Mill Road, Patterson, was arrested Wednesday at 6:55 p.m. on failure to appear warrants charging him with failure to comply with the conditions of drug court. He was held on $300,000 bond.
Travis L. Gilmore, 21, of 720 Arlington Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 10:48 p.m. on charges of unlawful possession of plant products, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer with force and two counts of stop sign violations. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed the driver of a vehicle fail to stop at two stop signs and conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Saturn and Southwest Roads. Upon making contact with the driver, the deputy saw a plastic bag containing syringes inside the vehicle. The driver was identified as Gilmore. Upon further investigation, the deputy determined that the syringes contained a vegetative substance. During the investigation, Gilmore yelled and cursed at the deputy. At one point, Gilmore lunged at the deputy. Gilmore was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
