Police Reports 10-16-13
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests from the past 24-hour reporting period:
Sasha Johnson, 17, and Samuel Johnson, 18, both of 1110 Lee Charles St., Franklin, were charged Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. on warrants after turning themselves in on charges of simple criminal damage to property. The warrants stemmed from investigation on the spray painting of a mailbox, street sign and a neighborhood watch sign in the St. Joseph neighborhood.
Both were released on summonses.
A 13-year-old Jeanerette youth was arrested Tuesday at 4:32 p.m. on a warrant charging him with aggravated assault and a 15-year-old was charged with simple battery after they got in a fight with each other. The older boy was transported to a juvenile facility pending juvenile court proceedings and the 13-year-old was released to a guardian.
Ricardo Blanchard, 58, of Gibson, was arrested Tuesday at 9:34 p.m. on a charge of second-offense driving while intoxicated. Bond had not been set as of this morning.
Shaljup Williams, 23, of 12 Ellis St. Patterson, was arrested Tuesday at 11:08 p.m. on charges possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, and improper lane usage after a traffic stop in the Four Corners area. Bond had not been set as of this morning.
