Police released a new free smart phone app today that will allow residents to communicate more easily with police, Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch said.
The app allows people to send in voice or email tips about crimes, Crouch said. Residents can also notify police if they will be out of town or away from their residences, he said.
According to the app’s description, the app also includes emergency notifications for traffic, weather and other emergencies. Police Department information and contacts along with one-click emergency and non-emergency calling are included in the app.
The app can be downloaded by iPhone and Android users for free.
