Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Christin L. Blanchard, 26, of La. 182 in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:29 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for possession of marijuana, possession of Schedule II cocaine with intent to distribute, second offense possession of Schedule I marijuana, possession of Schedule II codeine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Morgan City Police Department narcotics detectives began an investigation into narcotics sales from an La. 182 apartment. Morgan City Police Department investigators, with the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Department, executed a search warrant Tuesday at the residence.
Blanchard, the resident, was found to be in possession of cocaine. Investigators also recovered suspected marijuana, codeine and drug paraphernalia, Banks stated. She remains jailed.
—Lucious P. Romero Jr., 39, of Third Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 4:38 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for parole violation. Officers located Romero at a Victor II Boulevard business. He remained jailed this morning.
—Bonie Lester, 46, of Houma, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear for stop sign violation and for disturbing the peace.
—Joseph A. Acosta, 22, of Grove Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. Tuesday on a 16th Judicial District Court warrant for contempt of court, failure to appear for careless operation and stop sign violation.
While responding to a complaint of disturbance at a Grove Street address, officers encountered Acosta and Lester who both were wanted on outstanding warrants. They remain jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 36 complaints in the parish and reported no arrests in east St. Mary Parish.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
